Pace University (Pace), founded in 1906 in New York's financial district, is committed to educating students with interdisciplinary, global and multicultural perspectives. All students complete the core liberal arts and sciences curriculum to ensure a broad background in all academic disciplines and a solid foundation for success. The six schools and colleges offer over 100 academic programs and 3,000 courses in business administration, computer science, education, information systems, liberal arts and sciences, nursing and law. Pre-professional programs are offered in law, medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, optometry and podiatry. Pace has a total enrollment of over 12,900 students, with a diverse population representing 49 states and more than 57 countries around the world. The average class size is 25 students, allowing for interactive and personalized education. Faculty members are skilled teachers who are active in their professional fields and conduct research, publish articles and books, and serve on community boards. | |||||||||||

Pace's downtown campus offers the full college experience in an 18-story vertical setting. Facilities include residence halls, a performing arts theater, bookstore, classrooms, computer center, gymnasium and dining outlets. The four Pace libraries hold a collection of more than 800,000 volumes and subscriptions to over 4,000 periodicals. Students have access to electronic and CD-ROM databases offering thousands of additional resources. Pace University maintains a successful intercollegiate program for students. The Men's intercollegiate sport include basketball, baseball, tennis, cross country, lacrosse, football, golf, and track and field, swimming and diving; women participate in basketball, cheerleading, tennis, cross country, softball, soccer, equestrian, golf, and track and field, swimming and diving. Pace University competes at the NCAA's Division II level. | |||||||||||

Pace maintains two campuses in New York State, one in New York City and one in Westchester County. The city campus occupies more than a full city block in lower Manhattan, close to the Brooklyn Bridge and Chinatown. New York is a multilingual city with the largest international population in the country and is a financial, cultural and artistic capital. The Pleasantville/Briarcliff campus is approximately 40 minutes north of the city on 200 acres of countryside. The small-town setting offers a comfortable community atmosphere within easy commuting distance of metropolitan New York City. | |||||||||||

Admissions

Admission to undergraduate programs at Pace is based on applicants' potential for success. Academic history is a significant factor, but motivation, creativity and involvement are also important. Applicants must submit completed application forms, high school transcripts and nonrefundable $45 application fee to be considered for admission. The Admission Committee also requires submission of two letters of recommendation and a personal statement. Proof of sufficient financial resources must also be supplied. Applicants are advised to apply by March 1 for the following Fall enrollment; admission for the Spring semester is also available. | |||||||||||

The Office of International Programs and Services assists international students adjust to life at Pace and in the US by providing information prior to arrival, an orientation program at the beginning of each semester, an international student handbook and a variety of programs and activities throughout the year. | |||||||||||
